Project of promoting the renewal of low-carbon refuse trucks and optimization for clearance, 2022

Absrtact
The implementation period of this project was from February 21st, 2022 to December 10th, 2022. The results of this project were summarized as follows: This project assisted in completing the installation which was the fall protection equipment at the rear of the refuse truck of 30 refuse trucks, collecting the actual use feelings and suggestions of the cleaning team members, and giving feedback to revise the safety operation specifications of the fall protection equipment at the rear of the refuse truck. In addition, this project assisted the Environmental Protection Agency in 2022 to complete the subsidy of 81 local low-carbon refuse trucks, and assist the Environmental Protection Agency to control the procurement progress of local government. Meanwhile, it also regularly counted the types and quantities of garbage trucks ordered by local governments and various agencies through the Inter-entity Supply Contracts for reference by each unit. In accordance with the policy requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency, this project continued to conduct the next stage of the joint procurement of compression refuse trucks this year. At the same time, in order to effectively improve the safety of refuse trucks, the driving assistance system had been included in the procurement specifications. In order to encourage local governments to maintain the normal replacement of garbage trucks, this project had assisted in the completion of the next phase of the project for the subsidy of the replacement to refuse truck, and had been incorporated into the project of diversified waste disposal - the second phase. In addition, this project assisted in tracking the effectiveness of the EPA’s subsidies for local government to conduct garbage collection at designated locations (special areas) in 2022. The tracking results show that garbage collection at designated locations (special areas) can effectively reduce the workload of collection along the line at night. The addition of the new designated locations (special area) can effectively reduce the probability of casualties at the rear of garbage trucks, which is worthy of continuous promotion for the local government. In order to support and assist the local government in the needs of garbage collection when the cleaning team was infected with the new crown pneumonia (COVID-19) epidemic, which leaded to problems in the garbage collection and transportation operation, this project had assisted in the development of the national tender for emergency outsourced garbage collection. Meanwhile, this project continued to compile the actual use of electric compression trucks subsidized by the Environmental Protection Agency in local government, and estimate benefits of the energy saving and carbon reduction.
